The longest airport run we do
London Stansted is in Essex, about 62 miles from Tolworth. The usual route follows the M25 round to the M11, and the drive typically takes 85 to 110 minutes. It's the airport where a well-planned pickup time matters most, because there's more road, and more that can go wrong on it.
Why people still choose a car
Stansted is a major base for low-cost airlines, with many early departures and flights to European holiday destinations. By train from Tolworth, you'd go into Waterloo, cross London by Underground to Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale, then take the Stansted Express. With children and luggage, especially before sunrise, that's hard work. A car takes the whole family from your door to the terminal. For a group of three or four, it can also compare well on price with several train tickets.

For a journey of well over an hour, it's worth picking the right car. An estate or MPV gives more room for bags and legs, and an executive car is the most comfortable option for business travel. Stansted has a single terminal, and a charge applies to use its drop-off area; ask us how this is handled in your fare.
