Clockwise round the M25
London Luton Airport is in Bedfordshire, about 47 miles from Tolworth. Almost every journey follows the same route: onto the M25 clockwise, past Heathrow, then up the M1 to junction 10. The drive usually takes 70 to 95 minutes. The stretch of the M25 between the A3 and the M1 is one of the busiest roads in the country, and it's where most delays happen.
The alternative is a long one
Getting to Luton by public transport from Tolworth means a train into Waterloo, a trip across London to St Pancras, a Thameslink train to Luton Airport Parkway, and then the shuttle to the terminal. With suitcases, that's a lot of stairs and platforms. A car takes you from your door to the terminal in one go, which is why families and early flyers often choose it.
Early departures
Luton handles many holiday flights, a lot of them leaving early in the morning. For a 6am departure, you may need to leave Tolworth around 3am. We run 24 hours a day, so that's no problem, but please:
- Book at least the day before.
- Tell us your flight time, and we'll confirm a sensible pickup time.
- Have your passports and bags ready by the door, as your driver will be on time.
At the terminal
Luton has a single terminal. Vehicles pay to use the drop-off zone outside, so ask us how this is handled in your fare. For your return, book with your flight number and your driver will meet you in arrivals.
