King's Cross or St Pancras?
These two stations face each other across Euston Road, and they serve very different journeys. It's the most common mix-up we see, so check your ticket before you book.
- King's Cross is the terminus for LNER trains to Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland, along with Great Northern, Grand Central, Hull Trains and Lumo.
- St Pancras International is home to Eurostar trains to Paris, Brussels and beyond, plus East Midlands Railway, Southeastern high-speed and Thameslink services.
Catching the Eurostar
Eurostar has passport and security checks before boarding, and it closes check-in well before departure. Plan to arrive at St Pancras with plenty of time, and check Eurostar's current advice when you book. Tell us your train time and we'll suggest a pickup that leaves a comfortable margin for the drive across London.
The drive
King's Cross is about 14 miles from Tolworth, and the drive usually takes 45 to 70 minutes, depending on traffic through central London. By train, you'd change at Waterloo onto the Underground, which is fine with hand luggage but awkward with suitcases for a week in Europe or a trip up to Edinburgh.
Around the station
The area north of King's Cross has been transformed in recent years. Granary Square and Coal Drops Yard are now busy with restaurants and shops, and we're happy to collect from there as well as from the stations themselves.
